　　网络媒体是传媒、新闻界增长最快的领域，新媒体专业将传统新闻课程与数字媒体设计和管理结合起来。

　　部分学校更注重电脑技术和网页设计，例如旧金山艺术学院；另一些学校则更强调传播整合和数码技术，比如印第安纳大学和普度大学。

　　New Media is the means of masscommunication using digital technologies such as the Internet.The new media has also become central to the political arena.

　　2.生物工程

　　生物工程专业兼顾生物学和工程学，旨在解决农业、食品科学、和医学方面的实用问题，是一项交叉学科。

　　生物工程专业通常与商学课程相辅佐，提供两个专业的双学位。很多生物工程专业原本都是研究生水平的，不过，近来本科学位毕业生的需求越来越高。

　　3.有机农业

　　2006年，华盛顿州立大学率先开设了有机农业专业，为了适应消费者对有机食品的需求量增加，很多大公司开始雇用这方面的专门人才。

　　佛罗里达大学也在2006年开始增设了有机农业专业，尽管这个专业尚未在高校中广泛设立，不过一些学校已经看中了他未来的发展潜力。

　　E-business/e-marketing is a form of marketing and advertising which uses the Internet to deliver promotional marketing messages to consumers.

　　6.电脑游戏设计

　　这个10年前还闻所未闻的专业，现在已经在全美150多所高校扎下了根。有些学院注重游戏的研发；而另一些学校则强调游戏设计的艺术性，像凤凰城艺术学院；密执安州大将开设“严肃游戏设计”的硕士专业，学生将得到国际游戏研发者协会的奖学金。

　　7.法律财会专业

　　HCI主要设计用来提高人们使用高科技产品的能力，并深入研究科技对个体和群体的影响，这个专业一般是计算机科学学院的研究生课程，但有些学校，像新泽西理工学院已经开始开设本科课程。

　　HCI(human-computer interaction)is the study of how people interact with computers and to what extent computers are or are not developed for successful interaction with human beings.A significant number of major corporations and academic institutions now study HCI.

　　9.社会与环境专业

　　此专业关注社会与环境的相互影响，在不同学校里侧重稍有不同，比如，印第安纳大学开办的是环境科学和公众事务的双学位；而哥伦比亚大学则把气候学与社会学相结合。

　　10.超微工程专业

　　在超微领域（分子水平）研究物理、工程学和化学的实用科学，最近几年在国家超微工程启动会的支持下，越来越引入注目。大多数学校提供的是研究生水平的课程，少数学校如路易斯安娜州大，开设超微系统工程的本科专业。

　　Nanotechnology is the branch of technology that deals with dimensions and tolerances of less than 100 nanometres,especially the manipulation of individual atoms and molecules.
